Hi Book Lovers!
I’m behind, per usual, on a lot of things including a book haul for last month. Though, to be fair to myself, I didn’t get many books in July (except for book box books). This is a combination of a July book box haul and the start of August haul. Let’s take a look.
- The Bird and the Blade by Megan Bannen (July ShelfLove Crate Unboxing)
- A Court of Wings and Ruin by Sarah J. Maas
- Fawkes by Nadine Brandes (July Unicorn Crate Unboxing)
- My Plain Jane by Cynthia Hand, Brodi Ashton, & Jodi Meadows (July OwlCrate Unboxing)
- The Last Namsara by Kristen Ciccarelli
- Bear Town by Fredrik Backman
- Lincoln in the Bardo by George Sanders
- Never Fade by Alexandra Bracken
- The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss
- Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee by Dee Brown
I’m sure I’ll have a few more unboxing books to post towards the end of August but for now here’s some more books I don’t need but still went ahead and bought anyway!
- Are any of these recent reads for you?
- Any favorites in this small list?
♥♥
I’m slightly embarrassed to admit that I’ve only read My Plain Jane out of all of these, but the rest are on my TBR! Great haul!!

Sometimes TBRs are intimidating when you see all of the ones you are so eager to read but are unsure when to get to! Did you enjoy My Plain Jane? I keep eyeing it from where I’m sitting wondering when I should pick it up.

Yes!! They can be slightly scary at times😅 and I really did! It was really funny and packed with some great references. I hope you love it if you pick it up?

I hope so. I enjoyed My Lady Jane when OwlCrate sent that out so hopefully it has the same vibe!

They’re really similar! I personally preferred MLJ but I still enjoyed MPJ!

Bury My Heart At Wounded Knee has been on my TBR forever, I just feel like I’m never in the right frame of mind to read it. Love the rest of the books on your list, I’ll be adding a few to mine

I have a few nonfiction books that I feel like I’ll really need to be in the right mood to read as I’m sure they won’t be easy. I think Bury My Heart is the same, so I totally agree with you!!!!!!!!
