Hi there! How has the week been treating everyone so far? Hopefully well as the week is now half over for most people, right?
I clearly have never participated in a Top 5 Wednesday (or a Top 10 Tuesday, for that matter) so this is a new experience for all of us. Thrilling. Anyway, the Top 5 Wednesday that most people seem to use is hosted (now) by a girl with lovely lipstick named Sam @ Thoughts on Tomes
This week is about the top five books I’ve added recently to my TBR wishlist. While this seems….odd because I have about 100+ books on my bookshelf I haven’t gotten to yet, why not keep the fire burning by talking about even more books I don’t yet own and will probably not read in the next year. But, here we go anyway!
1. Small Great Things by Jodi Picoult
I warned told you that Picoult is my favorite. I can’t help myself. This isn’t out yet but I will end up sacrificing anything else on my list for this when it comes out. It’s inevitable.
2. Harry Potter and the Cursed Child by J.K. Rowling
Does this need an explanation? I didn’t think so.
3. The Shell Collector by Anthony Doerr
His writing is absolutely breathtaking and I want to read this with so much of my soul you do not even understand.
4. Me Before You by Jojo Moyes
I wanted to see the movie and honestly didn’t know it was a book until just recently. Therefore, I must read the book before I see the movie. Logic.
5. An Ember in the Ashes by Sabaa Tahir
This is such a hit with every person I come across who has already read this story. It makes it hard to keep avoiding so it’s on my “one day far far down the road if I ever have time..” list. One day. I swear it.
There is my list for the time being. Are any of these on anyone’s list? Or have you been able to read some of these (the ones that are out, anyway)? I got an e-mail yesterday that my OwlCrate is out and about somewhere in a UPS truck, so I’m looking forward to that and will share once it arrives. Everyone have a wonderful night and/or morning!!!

Really liked An Ember in the Ashes. And I will so read the new Harry Potter book! Otherwise, I’ve only heard (great things) about the rest.
Can’t wait to see your Owl Crate unboxing! ^_^

Yes! Everyone raves about An Ember in the Ashes. Did you love it, too?

I liked it a lot! But I still felt there was something missing… Something that kept me from loving it. Maybe my expectations were too high? I hope the sequel will fix that 🙂

Cursed child is definitely on my list! I lived me before you, I’d suggest reading it before you see the film.

Re: #4 – the book is better than the movie (obvs). Watch me the movie now! Otherwise you’ll sit through it being cross that they changed it from the book!
But seriously, both are great and you should have Kleenex on hand for both.
